Mike started officiating in 1971, as a member of the Hawaiian Football Officials Association, working youth games and as part of the auxiliary crew in high school games. Mike also received his first varsity field assignment at Aloha Stadium the year it opened. Mike has worked many high school championship games and is still active with the local associations.
As a high school official Mike was assigned his first D-I game in 1980 and as an Associate WAC official being assigned non-conference home games and many Hula Bowl all star games.
From 2002 through 2005 Arena 2 as a Back Judge and in 2005 hired by the WAC as a Replay Communicator. Since 2006 has worked as a Replay Official in the CFO West Region and has been assigned as a replay official in the 2005 Sun Bowl and 2007 Emerald Bowl games.
