Matt Sumstine has had a wonderful career as a football official and is looking forward to working on and off of the field as long as he is able to provide a service to the game.
Matt started his football career in 1991 officiating Youth and High School games in Hawaii and in 2005 was named NFHS Football Official of the Year in Hawaii for his performance, service and dedication.
In 2005 Matt Sumstine and Lloyd Hisaka started the Football Officials International Aloha Clinic. Matt coordinates the officials, game schedules, speakers, training video and game day operations.
In 2002 Matt was hired on as an Arena 2 Football official and in 2005 was hired as the first Replay official in the WAC. Since 2006 Matt has been a Side Judge in the CFO West (WAC, MWC & C-USA) and has worked in four Hula Bowls, the 2005 Sun Bowl, 2007 Emerald Bowl, 2009 Chick-fil-A Bowl and the 2010 Armed Forces Bowl.
